Do you Remember Mrs. Beasley?

Growing up Mrs Beasley was my sister's best friend and constant companion. I can remember her going everywhere including sitting at the dinner table each night next to my sister. Funny isn't it how just looking at that doll can quickly brings back those childhood memories.

This Mrs. Beasley is actually the 2000 version that that was made for Children Help USA with the voice of Cheryl Ladd. This doll is new in the box and she has never been taken out of the box. She talks with 11 different phrases and looks just like the original Mrs. Beasley.

Vintage Program Books Are a Piece of Racing History

Are you a race fan that enjoys learning about the history of the sport? Or are you a race fan that remembers those vintage days of racing and how it used to be? Here is just one that is on sale this week in our eBay store. This is a 1967 Daytona Firecracker 400 Race Program filled with photos, articles and vintage advertising. This was the 9th race that was run at the track.

This is a great piece of racing history for any race fan and can bring back a lot of memories for anyone that remembers what racing used to be like. Look at how far Nascar has come since these days of racing. It is also great to see what a lot of the drivers looked like back then too.

This is one of my favorite's an Atlantic Mold Ceramic Christmas Tree. This one does not have the lights glued in so you can arrange them any way you want. When this tree is on an table and lit up it gives off a soft glow of different colors and is very pretty.

Original Vietnam War Picture Lot A Piece of History

I love seeing old vintage photos from any time and I found this lot from Vietnam from around 1972. I look at these photos and realize they are a part of our history and wonder about the person that took these? Was he a young many drafted like many  into that war or someone who went willingly? What were his thoughts as he took these pictures? Just so many questions when you look at these pictures. 

I have the lot listed on eBay and am hoping they find a good home. There are 44 photos in this lot and there are pictures of ships, helicopters, people, cities and beautiful scenery. This is truly a step into the past when going through these photos. You can see the rest of the photos including close up ones on the listing.

Before Door Bells were Door Knockers

It is often hard to believe what people used years ago before our modern day Door Bells. This Vintage Brass Door Knocker is one example and is actually a simple design but many were very ornate and unique. Brass was a common material and most people had wooden doors.  We have a Pinterest board for vintage hardware and Door Knockers you can check out to see some examples.

This Door Knocker measures 8" x 3" in size and also has the screws in the back to attach it to your door. We have this listed at auction this week on eBay and you can all additional pictures if you check out the listing.

Vintage 1969 Nascar Banquet Program

We have followed car racing ever since we were kids and still enjoy it today. This is a vintage Nascar Banquet Program that was held in Daytona Beach in 1969. The program is an original item that was given out at the banquet and has that year's winners pictured on the cover. There is also information and the events of the night inside the program.

Over the years a lot of these paper items didn't last so there are not many of these around. This one is in good condition and is listed on eBay this week for auction. You can check out the eBay listing for the rest of the pictures and information.
