Does Your Vintage Christmas Tree Need Lights?

My favorite holiday is Christmas and my favorite thing to do is decorate. I enjoy doing the whole house and put up 2 artificial trees and a real one every year. I have been sorting through some of my vintage Christmas items and I am listing them for sale. I have enough to decorate at least 10 trees so I know it is time for some of the items to find a new home.

Here is a set of vintage Christmas Lights that are in working condition and in the original box. The box of course has seen better days but it is the original box and I kept them in this box for many years. Actually I love these older large bulbs so much more then today's tiny lights. One reason being it is so easy to replace a bulb on these where it is often easier to toss the other ones out and buy new.

So if you are looking for a nice working set of Vintage Christmas Lights they are up for auction this week. You can see the listing and also additional  pictures including one that shows the lights lit up. You can also find other vintage Christmas items for sale in my eBay Store Book Corner Cafe n More.

Do You Have A Vintage Race Fan On Your Christmas List?

I have been a race fan for as long as I can remember and grew up going to the race track every week.  Over the years racing has evolved like every thing else and these vintage program books bring back a simpler time in racing. This program book for Atlanta Raceway is from the first race held there in 1961.

This is really a piece of racing history filled with vintage photos, articles and even advertising. Many people that followed racing will remember the names of Parsons, Allison, Petty and many more that are pictured in this book.

If you would like to surprise a race fan on your Christmas list this year this would make a great gift. You can find the program book on eBay along with many other vintage racing items.

Do You Collect Vintage Hardware?

My husband loves auctions and has collected items for many years. One day I was looking through some boxes for stuff to sell and found a box of vintage hardware. I mean the old original hardware on doors and cabinets that had been around for many years. I started doing some research and was fascinated by what I found.

First I loved the look of the vintage pieces and never thought about it growing up. To me they were just drawer pulls or door knobs but today they are so much more. There is a lot of craftsmanship that went in to these pieces and many of them are brass. Over the years they have aged and took on a beautiful look.

I started a collection on eBay for vintage hardware and also a Pinterest board of some of my favorites if you would like to follow them.

I have listed some for sale and you can find them in eBay in my Vintage Hardware category.

Do You Love Looking at Vintage Photographs?

I was at an auction the other day and they were selling things by the box lots there was so much stuff. In fact there were selling things by a lot of boxes instead of individual boxes to get it all done in one day. There was an amazing amount of stuff at the auction and I love box lots.

So as I started bidding on some and looking through them I found this lot of old photographs. There were some of the family members at the auction and so I went up and asked if they knew they were in the boxes and did they want them? The answer was no so I decided to bid on them.

I have listed them in two lots on eBay this week. You will see one lot of snapshots and the other of larger photos. I have always loved looking at these beautiful old photos and wondering who they are and what their life was like.

So if you would like to bid on either of these lots check them out on eBay they only have a few days left.

Remember The Flintstones Cartoon?

We have a few more 16mm vintage film reels up for bid this week on eBay and two of them are The Flintstones. I loved them when I was a kid and always watched them on TV. These two film reels are from 1964 and 1965 and would make a unique Christmas gift for someone who collects Vintage Film Reels.

These two are both Hanna Barbera Screen Gems Cartoons and although they have not been viewed they belonged to a friend of ours and so we know they were well taken care of over the years.

So check out these two 16mm Vintage Film Reels on eBay this week and one all ready has a bid on it.

Did You Know 18 Wheel Trucks Raced at Pocono Raceway?

Most race fans love racing and it doesn't matter what it is that races a race is a race. I have watched everything from snowmobiles and lawn mowers to 18 wheeler's race on a race track. In 1981 these big rig trucks actually held a race at Pocono Raceway.

This is the vintage program book from the Bobtail 250 and put on by Bill Van Gilder's Warm Concepts. You can see all the inside pictures on eBay with the drivers, articles and vintage advertising.

If you have a truck driver on your Christmas list this would be a unique gift for that special someone.
